Only for a day | Chornobil40

The abandoned Ferris wheel in Pripyat is the most iconic landmark of the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone's amusement park. I created this poster in memorial of the atom catastroph. It is a common misconception that the Ferris wheel never operated at all. While it never opened for its official grand debut, it reportedly operated briefly on the day of the evacuation (April 26) to distract residents and ease spreading rumors about the accident.

I am so happy that my poster got in to the Chornobyl 40 poster exhibition. I could not attend, but luckily they posted some photos about it.
